I am looking at it possibly, but my dog will be there either way. That's a long drive from Chicago just for Saturday / Sunday :roll:

We (Blue Dawn Kennels) has a bunch of dogs entered but may have to scratch some depending on how many dogs the NGSPA Prairie Chicken draws. We may have to miss a day or two. Hope not but we'll see how it all works out. Know Windwalker will be there, Wild West, Armbrust, probably a bunch of Gordan trainers as their Nationals are their in a month or so, Midwest will probably be there, maybe Outbak (Rich u and Joyce gonna be there?? Know we'll see ya @ the Chicken) not sure about Walker if he'll be there, not sure about Doshe (Eshod) he's generally in this part of the country this time of year. About all the trainers I can think of right now. Not sure who all would come down from the Chicken.

I'll be there and this will be my 1st ever FT. I entered my GSP, Roxy, into the Amateur Walking Derby and am planning on having a lot of fun and hopefully learning a thing or three while I'm at it........hope to see ya'll there!!

My boy Rocky will be there with Jim West in the AA. I'm gonna try to get over there on Sunday. I wish I could be there the whole trial. (darned job!)

Gonna be some good ones at this trial boys and girls. Good luck to everyone!!

I'm looking forward to meeting some of you, and getting to give my boy Rock a scratch behind the ears!!

Due to all the entries in the Chicken OSD Championship we will not be able to make it. Good luck to all that are attending. I'm sure it'll be a great trial as the Erbe's and all their workers do a great job putting on this trial in the spring and fall.

Hey Everybody~I just got off the phone with Jim West, and my boy Rocky won the Open All Age.

Now he gets to join the company of some other very good dogs on the Rawhide's Clown memorial plaque.

Way to go Jim and Rocky!!!

Nice job, who were the other placements, I heard it was a nice all age stake. I think they also have a limited all age as well.

Just heard the other placements in the all age were all with Hiener, not sure in what order but the dogs were Flame,Addie and Max. Trying to find out on the gun dog and limited all age.

I spent most of the day there and got to see some really great dogs do their thing. It was a fun time and I'll do it again but I sure have a TON of work to do!!

My GSP wanted to play with the other dog at first but after she hit the bird field she got after it. She pointed some birds but with the other dog in the field she wouldn't hold point and all her birds flushed before I could get to her. :roll: I ended up firing the blank gun on two different chuckar flushes (didn't think I was supposed to do that on bumped birds). Unfortunately, she followed both of those birds all the way across the bird field and when they finally ran out of gas she retrieved them both to me!!

On the upside, I thought she responded pretty well, did a good job working cover and ran well considering the training she has (or hasn't) received.

Looking back I probably should've done a lot more work with her before entering an event like that but I guess hind site is 20/20. Hopefully I can make the proper corrections I need to make and do better next time.....

The limited all age was won by Hiener with a dog called Max, same one that was sec or third in the open all age I think. Still waiting for the other placements.
