NUCS TITLES

Post by jimssetters » Wed Jan 11, 2012 3:51 pm

Looking for a few answers about titles. I am trying to find out if FDSB will carry a title earned in NUCS National Upland Classic Series? I had to be registered with NKC to compete, but if know one will carry a title what good is the NKC registered dog? Working weekends limits my time for trials so close is the only option. If I have to go with other options how long you carry point in NSTRA or something similiar?

I don't think it's recognized by the AF

NO NUCS is not recognized by AF and under the owner it has right now will never...

NSTRA used to be but because NSTRA refused to give up the scoring system and the retrieve AF and NSTRA parted ways and NSTRA requires a dog to run a full 30 minutes in regular braces and an hour in the finals of a Championship trial (IE not a fastest to x amount of birds) as for how long points always stay with your dog so once earned towards you championship title you do not loose them

There is UFTA and this NUCS there are also a couple other clubs that have fastest time and shell count venues and Holy Smokes some clubs bring in some serious money for those dogs that find birds quickly with owners/handler that can snap hit a bird ...A person I know won 2000 bucks one weekend and quickly left NSTRA to carry on running dogs with a chance at some extra bucks
