The Chisholm Creek G Spot owned by Mark Wasseerman won both the amateur and open shooting dog stakes at the championship. She is absolutely on fire this spring and that is back to back wins with Great Plains and now she is off for the rest of the summer.

I agree, Mark's dog is on fire. It has won the OSD and the ASD in the last two championships. That is 4 wins so far this year. However, your LB has three wins, as does Spot and Gene Mason's Patton.
The Dog of the Year leaders so far are Spot in the All Age with 7 pts., Patton in the ASD with 10 and Bob Wicke's Whiskey Run's Star is Born in the OSD with 7. LB and Mark's dog are in a close second in the OSD with 6 pts. each.
It has been a really good year so far, with lots of very high performing dogs and many of those beautiful limb finds.
No pressure though.

It has been a great spring for me, if LB's handler was a little smarter we might have at least one or two more there. The Can-Am for me was travesty. Pulled the tracker at 35 and he was ahead 250 years on point.
That was caused by me loosing him at the Great Plaines and him being out all night. We ran at 5:15 pm in the afternoon in a 35 mph wind and sleet and rain coming in. At that point, they had one clean dog out of 12 and he had looked really good.
Dumb handler as I said.
Do you believe those pictures from Doug out west. Would we not love to do that everyday.

Had the same kind of problems myself at the GPC, was running Spot in the AA, local farmer said the weather radar was showing a huge red and yellow cell to the west, he was doing a great job but it was getting dark and we were running right at the lightning, so I got conservative, not wanting to lose a dog in that kind of stuff, and overhandled. But you make the decisions on the field based on what you know and your experience, who is to say if you had not pulled that tracker, or I had not handled the dog, that we might have lost them.
