BigOak...I may stop down and watch some braces. Not too far from home. For those of us in the "dark" what is the difference between open gun dog and open limited gun dog? And is it due to time or entries that you would not hold an Am. Derby?
Hope this snow clears out for you. NSTRA is suppose to hold their Regional Finals the second weekend in March at Ottawa and that might get moved to a different date!

The open gundog is a broke stake,where most of the dogs are unfinished.The open limited is where you run your finished dogs.We don't have any pro's ,so the open derby is basicly an amateur stake anyhow...vern

limited stakes in akc are open to dogs who have a broke dog placement or
who have won a derby stake,and as vern said many dogs who are finished run in these events.
Often times they are non retrieveing stakes,and or money stakes
