How did you do Rob?
One of my friends ran my Ace dog for me since I'm too busy in the fall coaching football and cross country, and took 2nd in the AGD and 3rd in the OGD.
Rhonda Haukoos won the OGD with one of her wirehairs, and Gary Metzler won the AGD with one of his GSP's Katie. Not sure on the other placements.

I ran with Ace on saturday. Talked to Ken quite a bit during the weekend. Ran in th epuppy stake with Jamey this morning also. I think my little brittany would have been right there in the placement swith Ace in the open but our bird work went south. My puppy won th eopen and the amateur and my gundog not so hot. O boy can Ace jump!!! I'm sure Ken told you that story yikes!!! Nice dog Ace is.

Rob, Congrats on the puppy wins! Yeah, Ken told me the story on the "jump", haha. I'm just glad the dog is okay. Ken said it really slowed him down bad after that incident. He has only been ran two times since May. so he is in terrible shape. Ken will get him out on the four wheeler and get him whipped back into shape though.

You could do some Dock dog stuff with him and his leaping ability. I bet he thinks twice next time before jumping into a tank.

You had to see it for there to be any justice in this story. It was hot this weekend and any dog knows tanks are full of water. Well Ace got hot and went to jump into an old tank on Branched Oak, but there was no water. Upon seeing this Ace tried to jump clean over the tank landing on the far side of the tank right across his belly and his member. Have you this is like a 12 foot stock tank and I'm sure he was 4-5 feet over the top when he landed. Needless to say i'm sure he was alittle sore. Just had to see it though!!

Robbie, the only results I remember are the ones that I posted earlier. I'll call my friend who ran Ace for me and see what other results he remembers.

I am assuming this trial was at Branched Oak? If so, how are the grounds looking for this fall? Our National Ch's are out there in early October.

Grounds are nice I think. Pretty wide open for gundogs really need one that will stretch out. All in all things should be good as always with Branched Oak its a great place to run.
