PF youth hunt, NW Ohio

Post by ckfowler » Thu Aug 11, 2005 11:35 am

The Wood/Lucus PF chapter will conducting the nations oldest organized youth hunt again, on OCT 29th. (Bowling Green)

Any one who wishes to can bring thier dog, and guide some youths on a wonderfull experience.

What I need to know is:
1. your name, and your dog breed ( as youth hunters may preselect a breed to hunt over)
2. if you wish arrive bright and early for the morning hunt
3. or the after noon
4. or both
5. Unless you are a very experienced guide, request no more than 2 youths for your trips afield

We had a good turn out last year and we had a great time..with all kinds of weather...brief heavy rain and very high winds. The kids had a blast. The morning hunt is the heaviest loaded with kids...I think so dads can make it to football games in the afternoon.
Either respond here in the forum, pm me, or email me and I will pass on your information to Lou the event coordinator.

Hope to see you there!
Colin

I am also guiding for another youth event this weekend by Bellefontaine called the "coonskin". They take youth with little or no hunting experience, start them with clays, move to a bird from a launcher, and then into the field with dogs. Last I heard, they had 35-40 youth over the two mornings and about 6 dogs. Anyone local that wants a little bird work for your dog and a leg up for some youth can contact me for details.
