What happened over there Vern? The last time I ran in a GSPC of WI trial it was huge, at least for the times, probably around a hundred dogs for two days, and they were some of the best dogs in the country. I was not aware that the club had not run a horseback trial in awhile. Anyway, good for you guys that you could pull it off, and I hope you keep it up. At one time, going to that trial was as close to running in a National as you could get. With people like Sienkowskis, Hill, Creaneys, Doc Haag would go, maybe Krommenhoek would show up, Baillies would come from Minnesota, Merkel from Iowa, a guy named Vern Grimslid, you knew you were among the very best around. Heck if you go back far enough, Rabidou went there too.

John,We lost all of are pro's.At one time we had six pro's and all of their amateurs in this area.I am the only active trialer left in the GSPC of Wis and I don't own a shorthair!Since Art Creaney passed a way last fall. All that is left of The Southeastern Wis club is all old hunt test guys.In this area you need a red dog [ vizsla] to have a place to compete and I might just get one.It sure was a lot more fun when I was whipping some a$$ with Misty and Spotter-HA....vern

john,we might not have had the names of old running or a 100 entires but we did have some excellent dog work.
The harters puppy will be a very nice dog,it did an outstanding job in the puppy.Look for it in the future.
The limited stake had 3 very nice performances, any of those dogs could have won anywhere, and the open was won by a very nice gwp,and howie did a great job in the am gundog.
The derby was won by a new guy to trialing, with a very stylish bitch, maybe we have him hooked into trialing now.
It was a fun trial, and we would like to see a fall trial again,if we can get the dates on the grounds,it is always nice to have close trials.

It sure was nice to see some of "The Bong Boys" last weekend. Vern rounded them up and put on a nice little trial despite the crappy weather.
