Maybe you could explain what the NVA is. I know, but I think there are folks who don't. The NVA is the American Field Vizsla organization, right?

Yes that is what it is John. I have a few friends running in it and have heard anything yet.

I heard they are starting the Open tomorrow. They have had record breaking heat and the conditions have been rough.

I was there for the Amateur and Derby to run Stella and scout for Bryan Long.
Jim Blumentripp won the NVA Amateur Championship with Pelda and took runner-up with Ehros.
Bryan Long won the Derby with Boots and took 1st runner-up with Bling. Bella was 2nd-runner-up.

Entries were 23 dogs for Amateur, 41 for Derby and 34 for open. Open started this morning.
Derby calcutta pulled in over $4000. Top selling dog was Bling at $500.
