Saw this thread and wondered what I did this time! Thank you so much. It has been a good one and I did spend time with my pup in the field. We have to run in a trial next week and I am trying to smooth off the rough edges. He was a year old 3 weeks ago so we haven't done any real training that requires any pressure yet.

These walking trial stakes are getting longer than they used to be it seems. After being 39 for the 37th time I have decided a horse would be nice. Truth is I always thought that but just wasn't able to swing it with trying to get 5 kids through school on my salary. But we made it even though there was a lot of doubt at times.

Again thank you for the kind words.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Illinois Brittany Club Walking Trial at Paw Paw. They had 90 dogs entered as of Wed. and they don't close till Monday night. Sounds like a good time to see what Comet can do though I am not expecting much since this will be all new to him. He is running good and has been pointing, holding, and backing pretty well. However the birds are not wanting to hold now as breeding season gets close and he will chase anything he sees. Run him yesterday and found 5 cocks and everyone was walking. Only point we had was an unproductive and even then he wanted to creep. Part of having a puppy. Don't have the draw yet but will be running Sat. morning and Sunday around noon it looks like. Come on down if you want to watch. I may need help!

Your pigeons will be ready this coming week I think.
