actually Clark you might have a good plan. Abbie all fat and out of shape might slow down enough to be a shooting dog that you and Dennis can get around. Give 'em heck, do Minnesota proud!!!

I will have you know buster that I have lost 35lbs since Feb1. Still a fat "bleep" though. Abbie looks like a swollen tick. That is my plan to slow her down. She will be lucky to do 45 minutes without having a heart attack. I will be bugging out on Thursday, Friday at the latest.

Clark
If you want to keep those 35 #'s off you better starve yourself before coming to the trial. I am doing the lunches on Wed.(Tex/Mex), Thur.(lasagna/Spaghetti), Fri.(Country style ribs with fixin's). These lunches might slow everybody down though. Looking forward to seeing you there.

Erica, My faithful side kick & I will be at the horseback also. I am having a couple of friends come up on the weekend and need to rent a couple of horses for a brace or two. Do you know if there will be a wrangler on site or if you know of a wrangler in area, could get me their name & phone number?

What a great weekend!! It was a little hot yesterday...OK , it was real hot, but as usual, a great trial. I got a little to much sun and left the grounds a little early yesterday afternoon.....actually still don't feel all that great today, and was wondering what the placements were for the OGD & ALGD.

Thanks to all our judges for coming and watching dogs at our trial, despite a morning of rain and one day of killer heat!

Thanks to our club members and those who helped plant birds, run the dog wagon, etc. for all your hard work and GREAT comradery (sp?).

We had some FANTASTIC food thanks to cooks Ron Thoele, Dave Quindt, Dennis Brath, Cathy Slack. AWESOME (Food was donated by Jack Marchese)

Why were so many placements withheld in the different stakes? Were the dogs not finding birds, breaking or what as there were some good dogs there. I was out in Lincoln for that trial and it was brutally hot out there all weekend.

For the All Age and the Open Gun Dog...dogs didn't make it around clean. They were finding birds, just not standing them. There were only 3 dogs called back for the OGD because 2 other dogs were supposed to be in the callback but they weren't there on Sun morning when we finished the OGD to do callbacks. Only 1 dog made it through the callback for the OGD.

I thought the food was the best I have had at any trial.
I enjoyed dan hoke and triple j in the limited,as we do not see them around here much.
I will thank the zick's in public for the work they do putting the trial on.Great job tim and erica.
This trial is growing every year, not too many 46 dog limited stakes you can run in.we had some very nice dogs at this trial.

I agree. Tim, Erica, Steve & the entire Four Lakes Club go way beyond the norm to make this trial something! What a great trial running with some of the finest dogs & handlers around, awesome food, and great conversation. It is an event I really look forward to every year.
Thanks for all your hard work putting on this event!!!

Thanks Bill..... Dennis-There are lots of club members that work as hard as Tim and Erica to make this trial successful. You could easily make the argument that Ron Theole and Dave Quindt work harder than anyone as they spent many hours before the trial preparing food and than cooking and cleaning up at the event. Dave has done this every year I have been involved and he has never even run a dog.

In addition to Tim and Erica BIG PUBLIC THANKS go out to Ron, Dave, Cathy, Pat Vande Hei, Rob Schuster, Dennis Brath, Bill Larson, Jack Marchese, and even Dennis Pierce. We had great club member participation at this event which is what made it smooth. We also need to thank all of the judges who kept this trial going.

Yeah....how could I forget to mention the judges!! They were great, especially my experience "handling" in both amatuer events. Really good people all around. Steve, thanks for your help scouting my Bandit this weekend...as well as the much needed critique of some sub-par handling by me on Saturday! The thing I observe is that everyone involved has a passion for this sport and you really enjoy putting on the event. When you do that is carries over to the participants and it is like a family reunion, even if it's your first time up there.

I tried talking myself out of it but...... 7 days of giving Dennis the business just wasn't enough. Seriously though, there wasn't just one or two people that held this together this year it was a really good group effort and I just wanted to make sure that everyone who contributed was recognized.
