Looking for first time field trial experience

Post by gunner121408 » Sun Jan 23, 2011 5:56 pm

I have two GSP'S one three years old and one two that I want to get into field trials with. I love to upland bird hunt and my two year old has shown so awesome talents thus far. He is steady to wing and flush at this point looking to finish him off this spring. I am looking for advice about getting into some field trials, can anyone give me some information or contacts as I live in west Michigan

You can look at the events listings on the AKC's website. There should be a club secretary listed you can contact to get a map and directions. Since you are wanting to compete with the dogs you have, how is their retrieving? In AKC they will have to retrieve to finish a title.
Never try to teach a pig to sing. It wastes your time and annoys the pig.
