You would have to ask the chairman but I believe the number one reason was cost of the grounds, plus that club is from the area so they are able to have more workers available to help with both the championship as well as the weekend trial.

I am waiting to make sure of the names of the dogs but from what I am told Dennis Brath was the winner with one of the Richardson's dogs and Ken Levy was runner-up in the all age. As soon as I get the dogs names I will post them. I am heading there Fri for the week-end trial and will try to get all the placements to post. The derby should finish up tomorrow and the Amt Shooting dog is supposed to start Sunday afternoon following the week-end trial then followed by the Open Shooting dog to finish up.

Sweet! Congrats to all the winners.
I'm really happy for Ken and his dog Mike. Mikey is out of my old clown son Chief and my old slick daughter Babe.

Thanks, not the Chief I was thinking of. Thier was Clown son called Chief ( Happy Havens Geronimo ) that Paltani used to run that I had a daughter of, so was just curios. Anyway from what I here both dogs did a nice job in the championship.

Congratulations to all, but especially Biscuit. He is a sweetheart.

Mike and Chase are to young guns that will be a force in the GSP world for a while. A lot of nice dogs between the two of them. I didn't see the Ch. but I scouted the RU CH. and that dog for his age is going to be the next bad "bleep"! Style and manners like I haven't seen out of a 3 yr old dog in a long time, no matter the breed(this coming from a pointer guy). Congrats to all the winning connections!

Thanks for the kind words.... I am very proud to have handled my dog to the R.U. Champion, but every bit as proud to have scouted the Champion on day two. Special thanks go out to BDK and the Judges, Ken Levy and Art Armburst.
