Amateur Shooting Dog Stake drawing will be held Saturday 4/9/11 on trial grounds at 7:00 PM.
Dinner for the Amateur drawing hosted by Bobbi Richardson.
Drawing for all other stakes will be held on the grounds the night before the stake begins.
Completed and paid entry forms to trial chairman required prior to drawings

All “Broke Dog” stakes and dual sanctioned • Premiums available on request • Tracking Collars permitted • All participants and spectators do so at their own risk

That is reference to broke stakes only, OAA, ASD, and OSD only. The Derby is not dual sanctioned and is run under American Field rules

If they run the derby before the 23rd yes you can.

Dogs eligible to compete in Derby stakes this season (spring 2010) must have been whelped on or after January 1, 2008. Any placements awarded to over-age dogs will be voided.

Will thier be a wrangler there for the championship if I needed a horse to run a couple dogs in the amt shooting dog. If so who do I contact.

Not sure which way you are coming, but here is the best directions I have:

Go West on I-70 to Limon, Exit 359. Go south 9.1 miles on
Highway 71 to Road 2W. Five miles east on 2W to CR 25. South on CR 25
approximately 9 miles. Trial grounds on the left. No camping on grounds.
Camping will be across the road. Follow the “Field Event” signs.

Thanks Lenny I just now looked on here and saw where you'd sent me directions. Keith also sent me directions and Mike said "he'd meet us in Limon and lead us in if we wanted". lol

Don't know who RU was but just heard that Deuce, owned and handled by Mike Beach won the Am SD. That's a RU Ch and now a Championship in 2 weeks at the age of three.

I got the honor or judging Duece in the Amt. Shooting dog in Branched Oak. Nice dog and Mike did a great job of listening to what was going on. He got beat in that trial by another great dog. Way to go Mike and Duece.

Great win for Duece and Mike, Congratulations could not happen to a nicer guy. Great work by his scout Mike Patrick.

BAD luck!! While on a training exercise on Sunday, Sonny got to know a porcupine up close and personal. He had to be taken to the vet and put under to remove about 25 quills and several in his left front leg where he also received a bite. So instead of being in Colorado today competing in the All Age, he is home recuperating.

If you guys want to talk about consistancy, WOW! Deuce is on FIRE! In the pointer world we look for a dog that has multiple Championship placements. 3 in 2 weeks is the real deal. Luck is taken out of picture. That dog is legit! Congrats Mike, Keith and Robbi! If I was a shorthair guy with a nice female, I know where i'd go with her. Consistancy is where its at, especially at that age. WOW! What a nice animal.
