Info for Freer Trials

Post by Reveille75 » Tue Feb 15, 2011 8:54 am

Does anyone have any info on the GSP trials going on right now in Freer, Texas? I'd like to go but I can't find out where it's at. Is there somebody I can call?

+/- 6 miles west of Freer on 59, Duval County Ranch on the left (south) side of the road. Follow the trial signs to the left at the end of the runway and continue past the ranch manager's residence. The clubhouse and parking area will be ahead.

John,

It seems as if you are off that snowplow. I'll be at Freer Saturday morning. We're going to turn lose those hellion's down there and see if we can catch them.

Here is a link for info. http://www.ngspa.org/

Ranch is owned by David and Haley Killam. Lots of mesquite, but they have been using a crusher (wide heavy roller) and burning for several years so the course is in good shape. Quail, some wild. There are a few cabins on the trial grounds, otherwise Laredo has some good hotels. Very friendly people holding the trial.

Good luck to you Ken, your brother Wayne and the other participants. It's 20 degrees and blowing 40 mph with snow squalls here, I'm longing for some Texas weather right now.
