Lab Events

I'm not exactly sure what you're getting at here because the answer is pretty broad. Us Lab folks run mostly Non-slip Retriever Trials. Basically, marked retrives on land and water, and blind retrieves on land and water. AKC field trials are kind of the big leagues as they are competitive. Hunt Tests are sanctioned by 3 organizations that are pretty similar. NAHRA, HRC, and AKC. These are non-competitive in that you don't compete against the other dogs, you are just trying to perform up to a standard. It is still the same basic idea as field trials, hunt test's just seem to be a little more true to a hunting situation, where field trials are kind of pushing the envelope of what a dog can be trained to do.

Of course, there are a multitude of other events that Labs run in like pointing competitions, hunting competitions, conformation events, etc. Labs dominate retrieving competitions now even though other retrieving breeds do compete.

Did that answer your question?
