Is there a brace sheet for the trial ? I used to go up to this one all the time when it was the Badger 500 and even judged it a few times. I think it is still pretty tough to get into the weekend trial anymore or at least it was. Do they still put 1 chuckar out for a bonus prize for the first one to find it ?

there is not much of an issue getting into the trial, unless you bring 25 dogs,in fact we are done some from last year, with a pro getting hurt and not being able to run.We have 3o some in the badger I believe, down from 50 last year.
As far as the chucker, that is in the am gundog,a raffle to enter the challenge,if you bought a tickect, and you find the first clean handled chucker you win.
Pine isalnd looks great, they cleaned out some brush/tree's so you can see farther this spring.
My only bitch is my pups are only 5 months old,so no puppy stake for them :(

Not sure they finished the OLGD yet....I have not heard anything...my Bandit was 10th brace which should have been early this morning.

They got through the Open Limited today, but I have not heard placements. Open Gun will start in the morning, followed by All Age and then Puppy.

FYI,
Dave

Bert ( Keith and Bobbi Richardson ) handled by Dennis Brath won the OGD which finished her FC....didn't get any of the other placements. Tejas Bandit's Southern Belle swept the puppy and derby handled by Dennis. I think Dennis said the Chip dog ( Keith and Bobbi Richardson) was fourth in the derby...didn't get any other placements in puppy or derby.

Dennis ran Belle 5 times in 3 weeks placing her 2nd the first time and then won 4 consecutive including the Region 4 Derby. :D :D I'll have to take some of the credit for starting her out by using what I have learned from Dennis and his partner Gary....both of these fellas are very astute trainers and I have learned a lot from observing them train and discussions with them.

It doesn't matter how good they roll unless they handle, Bill. That goes back to their breeding. She has all the attributes of her daddy Bandit....very smart and wants to please. I've really been missing her here at home but I realize for her to meet her full potential we need to leave her with Dennis and Gary for a while.

I hear you on the missing your girl thing......but I sure enjoyed hanging with her this past weekend :) Thanks for the kind words on Bandit as well. I see a lot of Bandit's personality in Belle for sure. You have done a wonderful job with her Wayne and I couldn;t be happier for you guys.

Clark, the dam's mother is Tejas Magnum's Jazz out of NFC Magnum's Touch of Gold. The dam's sire is Trueblu's Hud's Kickin Up Dust. Hear that your breeding of Abbie and Jax didn't take?

by the way you didn't have to chase Belle down and tackle her, did you?

Clark, by the way don't forget I'm still relatively new to this game....I might not get another chance to brag. :D :D And this critique is coming from a guy that describes his National Champion as his "Goddess Athena" :D :D
