Kieth also won the ASD at the Hun, sounds like he is having a good fall season. He deserves it, great guy with some killer dogs. Congrats Mr. Bryant, that is seriously awesome! Cowboy is a sweet dog! Congrats to Lenny Morales too! You guys have an impressive string.

I am so disappointed in the coverage of this event. They say this is the second best championship behind Ames and we get squat for coverage. With the National at Ames, there is a recap summary of EVERY brace WITH pictures, posted by 8PM EVERY night. With ours, you are lucky if you hear who won an event 2 days after it is over. And I have yet to see one picture from anyone posted. I feel if we want more participation we need to broaden this events exposure. I feel this is very important and is something the National Field Trial Committee should strongly look into. I have been there the past 3 years but was unable to attend this year and it has been very frustrating not being able to find out any news from any of the events. I am sure, by just reading other comments about people wanting info, I am not alone on this.

Part of the problem is the lack of internet service at the grounds......cell phone service is spotty at best. Most info comes from people making calls when they have a chance to run into town etc.

They put a hotspot in the club house. There were about 5 computers going everytime I walked in there for the Am. Ch.

"someone" should volunteer for that job. Those who have attended our nationals know that most everyone is so busy each day that it makes it tough to expect "someone" to ride 8 hours a day, write and watch, then take the time to write a summary for those too busy to attend. I doubt if the GSPCA is going to spend the money to hire a scribe and those who are there have bigger fish to fry in most cases.

What was meant by that was per breed Nat Championship. I have also heard this by more than one person so there must be alot of stoned Field Trialers out there.

Was there for 8 days, worked my a** off, on the FTC and do work all year, who did not come and show up. Not good to lash out at people who are there and workin their tqilw off, early and late, just come and work.

My day started at 6am and ended after the judges and folks were fed.

No hotspot in the clubhouse as that is Verizon phone only, several people had aircards during amateur, Bodenstab had his camera going all the time and will show up in the magazine.

My cost for the time I was there was over $800 and I did not even have a dog entered. Anyone wishing to come and work, I can assure u a task will be assigned.

I do not wish to sound as though I am lashing out. just come out to the middle of no where and spend a little time in the wind and dust. This is and was my 12th year to be the field stake manageer for the futurity, Hoke has handled the amateur for over 15 years.

Your work is much appriciated by all. I don't think anyone is asking for a minute by minute rundown. But in this day and age of technology, giving people a little taste of what went on for the day isn't a bad deal. "7 braces got finished today. Conditions were hot and windy. Lots of birdwork" Something like that would wet the appetite. Keep up the good work Jerry.

BTW, a big congrats to all the winners! Job well done!

The Bugs placement is a direct Hoosier Buddy Grandson as is Hoosier's Ramblin Pete also a Hoosier Buddy grandson.

I went through the program and I believe the Ole Buddy dog had 17 grandget in the Open Gun Dog. It is amazing what has been produced.

No dog in this particular fight, but have helped to run my breed nationals for almost 30 yrs. Nothing worse then hearing from the peanut gallery that "we shoulda"!
Understand most/some of it comes from frustration, but heck.... if your not there, or doing something to help out.....

The worse I ever heard was a complaint that we didn't have a bowl of pretzels out for people!!!!!!!! REALLY????????????? Ever hear of a grocery store???????????

Just sayin....

Having someone keeping those who can't be there up to date would be great, and many times it gets done. Sometimes there just aren't enough bodies there to make it happen.

Congrats to everyone who did well, whether in the ribbons or not!

A little more information, both dams of these 2 dogs are sisters, Out of NAFC/FC/AFC Dunfur's Morticia.

I wonder if we could find a bitch from these to litters and breed to a male from the other litter. As a matter of fact, I own a female from the Pete litter, need to breed her, heh, might need to call Doug.

Heard that Dohse had a slammer in the 3rd with Lady, 5 finds, big forward race, 2 limb finds. Sound like they are all playing for 2nd.
