Another H.D. Trial , rules and app.

Got another e-mail last night of the Walking Field Trial for June near Portland,Ore.

Hunter’s Gun Dog
The Hunter’s Gundog Stake is for:
*New handler’s and pointing dog owners.
*Junior handler’s
*Owners with dogs to old for puppy or derby but want to experience the field trial environment.
Dogs and owner’s of any age may compete - registered or not

Entrants will walk a 20 min course with a bird field where each dog will have an opportunity to work at least one bird. Judges will guide and advise handlers and provide feedback following each brace. Firing a blank pistol is encouraged but not required. Loaner field trial equipment will be provided. (Blank gun, colored dog collar, ect.)

Entries
Use the entry form provided on this page and mail to the trial secretary with your check.

Prizes
Awards will be given for varying aspects of performance.

Ore Britt club. Contact Sally Medford, 503-780-5582. People that ran it over here last time seem to have had fun with it. Probably be better still on Sauvies Island. They might have to use a bird field which will let everyone see the bird work that's not on course. I judged a couple on SDauvies Island years ago and we had to use a bird field. Everyone should get their dog on a bird if they do use the bird field. I'll look for you there.
