Do you realize we ride horses in 100 degree heat and we plowed and worked the ground with them no matter what the heat. My grandpa had a team of mules freeze to death one August when we were harvesting popcorn and it got so hot the corn started to pop and the mules though it was snowing and froze.

Blake Biggs from, Pilot Point, TX used to own Ace until he sold him to Tim Gleeson who has been a client of ours for some years but not ever been to a trial. Tim lives in CT and also owns BDK's I've Gone Walkabout "Walker" and also owns FC Abby's Might Slick Runnin Rex. Keith Gulledge of Blue Dawn Kennels trains and handled Ace to his 4th place win along with the New NFC Trey and runner up Kix.

Thanks for the congrats, I'll try to get a couple pictures up of the winner and winners.

Ken, I am really jealous. With all that great quail hunting you will have there in Arizona. I need to get back down there and hunt with Trey.

Just got back from the nationals from being stake manger in both the futurity and the Gun dog stakes besides running the dog wagon for the Am. Championship. It took me several days for it to sink in that Trey won the National championship. I cannot thank Keith and Robbi enough. Robbi did an outstanding job of scouting. Trey did it all. a big race with an unbelievable limb find. He had four finds and back with two of finds being covey finds. I will not forget Keith, without him Trey would not be where he is today. He won the chicken championship in 2011 and the Great Plains championship in 2012. The competition was tough with some outstanding dogs competing. Even in the heat there was some big races and the dogs really covered the course. One dog was pulled because the owner felt his dog could not handle the heat. The same owner had a dog injured and had to have a leg removed. These were Richard Walters dogs. Two others were pulled because the handlers father had got hurt the previous week in a horse accident and the owner had to get back home to help run the business. This was Chase Verdoorn, who got a third place in the Am Championship.

Congratulations to all won and placed at this years GSPCA Nationals.

I cannot thank Keith and Robbi enough. Trey as a puppy nobody wanted. Robbi bought him from the Sara Messer. I was looking for a new dog to trial since, I had to retire my old dog do to injuries. I tried out a young dog named Duece that Keith and Robbi had. He did not fit in. Keith said, he had another young derby dog named Trey. I took him out hunting for few days and said, I want him. I liked his looks, ground speed and bird finding ability. You know the rest of the story. He just loves to please and he is the most honest dogs I have ever had. I have had him stand there where other dogs come in and root the birds out and chase them and he never moves.

It took me several days to really realize that Trey won GSPCA National AA championship. I still cannot believe it. I have his national championship trophy and all his trophies and ribbions in my downstairs office. In his short career he has placed or won in 20 AKC broke dog stakes and won two NGSPA championships to date. With a lot of luck, I can only hope he can continue to win. I wish everyone out there is lucky enough to have at least one dog like Trey. I appreciate all the congrats and I want to thank you all.
