The GSP Club of North Carolina will be hosting a three day horseback trial at the J. Robert Gordon Field Trial Grounds in Hoffman, North Carolina starting on March 1st. This is the first non-closed breed AKC trial to be hold on these premier grounds. The grounds consist of two 3 hour continuous courses over 6,000 acres with wild and pre-released quail. With this being the inaugural event, we are looking for a strong entry to ensure it can be renewed annually.

If anyone is looking for a chance to prove their dogs on native birds, I know of no finer opportunity east of the Mississippi.

Have to agree with Chris here. These are some great grounds and who doesn't want to be involved with the first AKC trial (other than closed Britt trials) to run at Hoffman. All the birds there are pre released are done so late summer/early fall and always the chance of wild birds or a woodcock find. Excellent chance to compete with your dogs in the closest thing to a wild bird trial on the east coast. Hoffman also boast excellent facilities with horse corrals and barn,stalls as well as kennels.

Not to mention our "winter" weather in the Carolinas isn't so bad!
