The stereotypes about dogs are a constant source of amazement to me. The pointers are sometimes stereotyped as running too big to be good hunting dogs. And yet this beauty won a foot handled national championship, in grouse and woodcock cover, and on wild birds that are about as tough on a dog as you can get. What more could you want??

She can come live at my house and hunt with me anytime, it would be an honor and a privilege.

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Well said John. I run my setters in the coverdog trials and it's very tough competition on this circuit. It always amazes me how so many of these dogs perform so well in this type of competition. From the cover to the bird work, these dogs must be good birds finders and adapt to the cover in which they're being run on a given day.

Fellas,
I was surprised that pointers have won 7 out of the last 10 years of
the Grand National Grouse Championship.
This is a foot handling trial on wild grouse.
This years winner, Hard Driving Bev, won it previously in '03.
She's a keeper!
