Great Field Champion

HK Kennels, David and Haley have received notification that Angie has received the the titleof "Great Field Champion" and this is the 1st designation given by AKC. A big congratulations to the whole crew. Head trainer Eldon Hongo and pro scout Terry Hongo. A great team that completes great effort.

Great accomplishment! What is a "Great Field champion"? I have heard of " Grand", but I honestly don't know how that differs from Great Field Champion?

Grand Field Champion... It may be the first shorthair but I believe One Off Mojito Mike had the title first. According to the field trial placement site... JG

The complete information is on the AKC website, but the summary version is: 6 points in 1 hour stakes designated as; through application and approval by AKC, as a Grand Stake. Three points must come from a win in these stakes and the points only apply after the FC and or AFC title has been awarded.
