Has anyone heard how the NAFC Championship is going?

They got 12 braces done today. Wind was an issue.

Will they post the results? Is any of the competition televised or streamed anywhere? I would like to learn more about the structure and details of the competition.

Chris goegan handled opal..I rode the brace she was amazing 1 limb find after a huge cast and and a second find at 55 min sealed the deal!!

Thanks for all the updates, has the OGD started yet?

It was supposed to start Friday, but talk of it starting on Thursday. Didn't hear when it started, but they are flying through. Possible to be through brace 17 this evening.

Talked to a friend that is on the grounds, stopped running due to the heat.
Not certain what brace they are on as of lunch time today.
Heard that lots of dogs crashing or being scratched due to a variety of reasons.

Delayed due to heat....

That is what I was told. Running was postponed for the afternoon braces today due to the high temperatures that were near 90. Heard that there were a few outstanding braces yesterday and only two dogs got around clean with good bird work this morning.

Congratulations to Matt Smith. 3rd OAA with FC Trublue's Ace in the hole.
I've had the pleasure of riding behind Matt and watching Ace during training, the dog is incredible

Start with Brace 19 Monday morning.

They started this morning at 7:30 just as it was just light enough to see the two white dogs.

Ran 4 braces today before calling it due to heat. Forecast is calling for 10 degree drop in temp the next few days then steady out for highs in mid 60's.

Been tough on dogs. Had a couple good runs and lots of pick ups due to not pleasing handler. Knowing they have better dogs.

But the door is definitely not closed for other up coming dogs with a good run.

Hopefully it wasnt too hot, cold, or windy for the dogs to compete today...

Ace is a very nice dog. Glad to see he was sold to someone who will enjoy him.

Heard that Ace did a great job in the second series of the amateur, only to have been lost with just a few minutes left in the brace.

Ace is still young enough to give it another try next year.

Anybody hear how many braces are left?

Don't know exactly how many braces are left, but placements will be given tomorrow.

One brace left....

I cant tell you the full placements but what I can tell you is the winner and that is CLK'S POINT ME THE WAY ( ALLIE ). I know this because it's my young female and just got a call a little while ago from Keith Gulledge who handled her to the championship. Allie was in the first brace and to carry it thru till the end is unbelievable as i'm still shocked from the call. Big thanks to Keith and Robbi for all they have done with her. More info coming soon but for now I need to celebrate a little.

Congrats Jerry!! You have every right to celebrate!

I wish I could give you the details but I was unable to watch my dog run, thats the breaks of being a high school football coach in the fall. I was told she had 5 finds in the hour and also a back of her bracemate and ran a great course.
