Good Luck! My oldest pup will be running in the Lone Star Regional trial on Saturday.
A dog on point.....steady, yet trembling,
Breathing in and tasting the gentle breeze.
Take a moment for yourself to soak it all in,
All the training, the hard work.....it really has paid off.

NSTRA is for the traditional pointing breeds. What you're probably looking for to participate in with your lab are the retriever trials and hunt tests, such as AKC events. http://www.akc.org/dog_shows_trials/fie ... /links.cfm Has a lot of information on events by type/breed. http://www.apps.akc.org/apps/events/search/ is a tool to find upcoming events for field trials, hunt tests, and more.

I'll be leaving SD for our winter home in AZ the day after Christmas. I hope to run my Brittany in a couple trials while we are down there.

Caught the flu the day before the trials. Ran my dog both days sick. Rain Saturday. frozen grass 24 inch tall Sunday. No quail hunting. Lucky to be able to heard my rig back home. Flu this year is bad. Kicks your butt.
