1st Quail Forever/NSTRA Championship Trial

Post by snips » Wed Jan 03, 2007 11:58 am

Jan 10-13 is the first QF Championship Trial. It will be held in Elberton Ga at 4-Star Plantation. If anyone wants directions I can post them. Should be a super event held at Danny Brownlow place, it is beautiful with awsome fields. It has great sponsers, giving away Benelli shotguns, dog trailors, and lots more.

QF Trial

Post by BrettBryan » Thu Jan 04, 2007 12:54 pm

Brenda, I hope I get in as a standby. I'm 8th on the standby list right now. I hope to be there with my 2 dogs. I would love to run them in a big trial to get them some experience(and myself) in a big trial. Can you post the directions to the 4 Star Plantation in Elberton, GA just in case I get called to come run. Thanks, Brett Bryan.

No, I am not going. Probably a mistake, after not running these dogs all year. I am going Mon , hopefully I can work them on Tues before the trial. Rick is going to Tx, so he can't come.. I picked up the tshirts today and I think they look great. Directions from Atlanta = take 1-85 N TO EXIT 160-Royston/Elberon, (hi51)go right toward Elberton. 51 dead ends into Hi 145 go right. 145 dead ends into Hwy 29, go left. 2nd traffic light in downtown Royston turn right on Hwy 17..go approx 20 miles to Elberton. In downtown Elberton turn right on Hwy 77 toward Lexington. Approx 9 miles: after crossing the Broad River, turn on the first rd on the right-Millstone Church Rd look for 4-Star Plantation sign. Go 3 miles and 4-Star on the left. Hope you make it in Brett...

QF Trial

Brenda, thanks so much for the directions from Atlanta. I still haven't been called, so I'm not sure if I'll be there or not. I really would like to go, but I just didn't know the trial would fill up that fast and was late entering. I hope to see you there. If not, good luck and thanks for the directions.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Scott Townsend and Fritz for winning the QF Trial! I heard Nolan Huffman was 2nd with Bull, Chester Renaugh (sp) was 3rd with his Setter, and Greg Wood 4th with Wes Barrs JR, Setter. Great trial, wonderful weather and hosts. It was announced to be held again in the same location next year.

Hey man! What all did you win? Did you get that big dog trailor the guy had there before the trial? It was a little unclear what all they were giving. You got a Legacy did'nt you? 20 or 12?
