If you are driving from the location you have on your profile, It looks to be about the same travel time to Michigans Galdwin field trial ground and Pa's Marrienville field trial grounds.
This weekend is PA is the Ontario Championship and the Vanango puppy classic. Next weekend in Marrienville is PA Grouse Club Trail.

There is a coverdog trial about every weekend in MIchigan at the Galdwin grounds.
Mich. Am. Field trial club Apr 8-10
Beaverton Grouse Dog Club Apr 15-17
Lake States Apr 18-21
Ruffed Grouse Field Trial Club Apr 22-24

Depending on when you pup was born determines what age they can run in either puppy or derby. I would say your pup is still young enough for puppy stakes.
I think each of the ones I have listed have a puppy stakes.

If you look at the American Field website you can click on "calendar" and look the trial. When you click on it, it will show you who to contact.

Im not sure of other coverdog trials in Michingan that may be closer to you.
