Hey Chris,

Do you know if the run order has been posted yet for the trial coming up this weekend, or do I need to call Dan.

What is the status of Ruger? I have known Rick and Dennis for quite a while and Ruger is a grand pup of the sire of my GSP. Thx Greg

Ruger is on the way home with his owner. He will recover without any lasting effects.

Thanks John, I apologize for my ignorance but if you are free to expand on the circumstances could you? Thanks again and my prayers are with Rick and his entire family and all bird dog enthusiasts.

In the middle of a brace of the All Age, Ruger appeared to come up lame. Rick picked him up. The prior week, Ruger had torn a toenail, so that was what Rick thought it was at first. He put him on the saddle and rode the rest of the brace. It was some time later that it appeared Ruger was going into shock, so he was immediately taken to the vet. He had impaled himself on a stick, and about 2" had broken off in muscle tissue, but the stick missed all vital organs, so he is going to be fine and is on the way home with Rick.

Tough dog, a great dog, and he will live to run another day. We will see him on the championship circuit this fall.

Wannabe, I believe you are right. I have not heard or seen much of Cowboy lately, is Joe still running him much?

He had one of the best races in the All Age last weekend, but he went birdless.

Thanks for the updates. I would have like to have been at that trial, instead I went to watch my cardinal lose the lead in the 8th inning giving up a grandslam. WooooooooooHooooooo. Other than Rugers mishap it sounds like the trial went really well for everyone. I'll put it on the schedule for next year.

Art Armbrust wouldn't agree; he lost a derby dog that ended up being killed by coyotes.

That is very unfortunate, I am sorry to hear that. Art has my sympathy as well.
