Brittany Gun Dog Nationals

Post by Maverick » Thu Oct 11, 2007 2:11 pm

Anyone else heading to the nationals this year in Ionia. I am leaving the house to be there on the 22nd and will be around for most of the first week.
Looking forward to seeing some great dogs run.

Mav, the sire of the pup I am getting in two weeks will be there - Bucks Hit the Road Jack. I'd be interested in any comments on him. I understand he drew the first brace.
Thanks,
Gary

Any dog that qualifies for nationals 3 years in a row has to be a pretty nice dog...not to mention he won it in 2005. :D

Gary, if you ever want to come to Water & Wings to see Jack run in person, let me know. You can come as my guest. There are also 4 2 yr olds from a prior breeding training there now. All 4 are VERY nice dogs. You'd get to see them too (and run your pup or put him on a bird if you like).

Karen, I would love to come out to W&W sometime. I plan to get about and learn as much as I can.

Mav, thanks for any feedback!

Three dog were posted today.

DC Barney's Hi Proof Ronrico - Bob Burchett
DC/AFC Bebop N'awlins Jazz - Leslie Hunt
FC/AFC Shady's Be Sumbuddy - Delmar McCallister

Tuesdays posted dogs were:

Hit's For Pete's Sake - Judy or Ralph Kiracofe
DC Country Road's Rough Rider - Bob Burchett

These are not an indication of any type of order of placement/winners.
These are dogs that the judges felt did an outstanding job on this
particular day. Once the dog hits the posting board it will not be
removed. So each day there should be more dogs of interest. I think
that it is safe to assume that the top four placements will come from
the dogs that are posted. Congratulations to all the owners and
handlers that have their dogs posted.

No, not related. Petey just turned 3 in August and is a heck of a dog. Chippy (4th place) is on fire this season...has really come into his own and has won or placed in about everything he was entered in.
