Garmin Alpha 300

Hi Everyone,

I know there has been lots of chatter around if the 300 works in Canada. I have some close contacts of mine and read on this forum that it indeed does work in Canada. My question is can I do the software updates on the unit in Canada? I have heard and seen conflicting information around Garmin geolocking the unit when it is updated. I have already purchased the unit and just need to know if this is the case because if so I wont update the unit.
