Kimar Tradition Primer Pistol

Post by KY Grouse Hunter » Mon Mar 23, 2009 11:01 am

Does anyone have any experience about this particular pistol? Does anyone have any experience with .209 firing pistols? I am in need a new one and wanted to maybe try this one.

I have one and it works fine for me. I do not use it a lot, I do not know how it would hold up if you were a pro.

The folks I know that have them are happy with them. The only thing I don't like about them is they only hold 5 shots, while the NEF 22 and most primer pistols hold about 8.

If your only using it for 1 dog and only occasionally, it should be fine. However, if your using it every day and firing hundreds of 209 primers a year, it likely won't last a year. Mine lasted about 6-8 months before breaking internally and being replaced with an Alpha. Were I to guess, mine had probably had 300-400 shots fired through it when it broke.

I called in and changed my order after reading customer troubles....I went with the Olympic 209 8 shooter.....buddy has had one for years with no issues to note.
