Could you point to an example something like what you want?

I hunt in a vest like this but with mesh and pockets that are different: http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/store ... erralID=NA .

Some people like a "strap vest" something like this: http://www.gundogsonline.com/hunting-cl ... hu100.html .

I have a version of the "stap vest." It is the most flexible for me since I can wear it over tons of clothes if the snow is blowing, or over a t-shirt while training or during the early season.

These are more than $50, but well built. http://www.uplandgear.com/
I have had mine for a few years and use it for everything. The back game pouch comes off and you can use it for trap. I don't usually carry the water bottles, butt hey are handy to add on.
I have not ever worn a strap vest, but I hear they are comfortable. This works well if you just want a belt.

They have the blaze orange one on sale for $52.50. They sound like a well made versatile belt. I ordered one today.

If you are looking for a leather shell belt, Cabella's has them for about $40. "Grouse Tales" by Ken Szabo used to sell them, maybe still do. They are Amish made. I have the Amish made belts in 20 & 12 and love them. Takes the weight off the shoulders. I never hunt without them. I turn mine around with the buckle in the back which puts the shells out front.
