Tri-tronics Multi Sport 3 G2 3 dog collars has anyone used these collars? I am going to have to break down and buy new collars. My "inotrash" collars just have no range left in them. I am wondering about the range on these tri-tronics collars. What do you think I would get range wise out of these collars? Are they dependable collars?

I have the older multi sport 3. I have had periodic issues with the orange and green button sticking and have had the collar replaced under warranty with new collar having same issue but taking longer to show up. However thay may have fixed this issue with the new series. The 3 collar model is not one I would personally BUY again simply because my brain cannot handle 3 collars and dogs and which buttons etc. all at once  but I do like that I always have a charged collar.

I am sending mine in to be repaired and it looks like they might be replacing it with that newer model so, if so, I can tell ya more shortly :) hopefully...

I think if you are looking for range the sport models are only 1/2 mile. At least the one I have states half mile range. This was a great collar that gave an honest half mile range but often wasnt enough in some of the mountains. I bumped up to the new G2 90 2 dog model. I like it a lot. I have had no issues with range. I don't remember the price increase from the sport to the 90 series but it was well worth it. FWIW TT is located here in Tucson and they have always provided us with great service. They have even brought antennas etc to where we were training, I couldnt ask for anymore than that.

I had the older multi sport 2 for about five years but recently sold it to buy a field 90 2 dog model, that way I can run the beeper collars with it.
I didn't have any problems with the MS-2 and the range was enough for me but my dogs don't get out to far. I really didn't like the smaller transmitter. I have the columbia vest that has the pocket in it for the controller and I wanted to go back to the bigger transmitter for ease of use. I don't like wearing the controller around my neck because it always seems to be either in the way or I am not able to grab it quickly when I want it.

I bought a new Tri Tronics 90 2 dog medel last year and love the thing. It is very good.

Get as good a collar as you can afford. Got a great deal on this one and it was through an e Bay dealer. Sent a not to a coupdl dealers there and got a call with a great offer. Saved me almost a $100.

I really need a 3 dog collar. I run my 3 dogs together all the time and hate having to use more than one transmitter. I wish they had a 3 dog that you could control beepers with.

They do its called the classic 70. Just add Beepers. It is basically a multisport collar but has 1 mile range instead of half mile.

Ok, one more question I have the accessory beepers. Now can I use this with the 70? In the manual for the accessory beeper it says something about you have to purchace it with the uplander "or what ever collar" to use it from the transmitter. Is this true?

Just came from the mail box.......As a Tri-Tronics Influentials Member/Dealer, I get the hot scoup early and they just introduced the G3 series and added to the G2 series looks like some nice new offerings. Looks like the G3 Sport Basic Priced @ $556.00 for a 3 dog model. Lots to look over here but looks like a good set-up on muti dog with beepers and the works. Some of this is so new they haven't even set the prices. ..."pear"

Pear are you allowed to say anything about them at this time? If so can you give us a run down on what is new with the G3 seires in another thread?

Ohio, You might want to check out sportdog brand. They have a 3 dog option and very reasonably priced with limited lifetime warranty. Great customer service also. FWIW.

The beepers I have are G1 accessory beepers. Pear when is the G3 stuff coming out. I am getting ready to start training again with the weather about to break into something a little cooler. I want something pretty fast. I have looked at the sportdog stuff looks like good stuff but I am not sure collar clinic rebuilds them. I will never buy anouther set of collars that can't be rebuilt. I am pissing away about $700 worth on the two innotek "track and train" collars with beepers I have now and that won't happen again.

The problem was a bad battery on the collar. Works fine now.
