Northstar Dog Box

Post by lvrgsp » Fri Nov 23, 2012 10:59 am

Just wanted to give my thoughts on North star boxes.
Great customer service Phil is a great guy to work with.
Looks to be a great product time will tell
The hardware is really good quality, I had some reservations
On the purchase but talking with some guys on here that have purchased them as well was reassuring.
I would recommend giving these a good look if your in the market for one.

Wish you luck with it Chip....we had one, not a bad box at all but it started cracking on all the corners about 2 years in......still worked just didn't look real great.

I believe I looked at them a couple years ago at pheasant fest. Nice boxes. Id be interested to hear how it holds up.

A limit on the strap is nice, but the kill has nothing to do with tradition.

I do remember you saying that Sean, and it was something I did consider before purchasing...

It is similiar in construction to my rough tuff kennel, the box has some pretty hardy framework, and what I would say is above average latches, hinges, handles and hardware, high quality stuff.

We will see how it holds up.

Don't get me wrong it worked great, no problems with anything function wise.

Was it the inside or outside of the corners on the box, just something for me to keep an eye on...

Thanks Bud

outside top corners it was a for a suburban, so it had 2- 45's to make each side, though it was in a pickup most of the time.

I had a plastic (fiberglass) box years ago. Looked great and all, but the problem we had was that in the winter after loading up dogs that had been running hard and were pretty warm, the box would sweat inside just as if was raining in there. Kept it one winter.
