Weinbrenner wood & stream boots

Post by jfwhit » Sun Jan 11, 2015 9:13 pm

Thinking about getting a pair of Weinbrenner wood & stream, kangaroo loden green boots. Anyone have these or have tried them. Or any other wood & stream version?

I have not but I am always fearful of cement construction hunting boots.

Can't speak for the brand you're asking about but I hunt the prairies with one huntin' buddy. Just this past season, he wore a new pair of kangaroo leather boots - can't recall the brand. I wore a new pair of Schnee's 8" high "Bozeman" - Montana based.
We both knew we should have worn our boots before hard hunting out west to break them in, but..........
He had nothing but issues with his feet! He spent a good part of the morning taping up his toes because of blisters, and irritations. It was sad.
I thought I was wearing slippers! Absolutely NO issues what-so-ever. Man....are these ever nice boots - light, durable, functional, and VERY comfortable in very rugged, long hours afield!
I've been through a lot of leather or leather and composite boots but nothing as awesome as these! Now, I've only worn them for 1 season. I am VERY hard on boots because I really test them. That said, I have never experienced the level of functional comfort this boot offers...ever.

X2 on Schnee's Boots. I will never wear any other brand. After coming in from a long day afield, I forget to take them off because they're so comfy.

Schnees look like nice boots. Not so nice on the wallet.

A person would have to have more money than sense to go that route and if he did it should take care of the more money part. JMO

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.
