Skid Plate Chest Protector

Post by markerdown » Thu Jan 18, 2007 2:50 pm

Bought one for my female GSP and finally, a chest protector that she'll wear and won't chafe. She actually doesn't mind wearing it and it doesn't affect her running. The last one I bought had front leg holes, and when I put it on her she was like a whirling bucking bronco until I took it off her. I bought the Skid Plate without sleeves and picked the size using a sizing chart. It's double layer cordura and fits well. It has straps with plastic buckles that are adjustable for fit.
For me it was well worth the price. My GSP is a brush buster and is constantly getting her undersides scraped up and worn raw. This will eliminate most of that :) .........................markerdown
Live simply Love generously.
Care deeply, Speak kindly.
Hug your GSP often
Leave the rest to God.

I have been running my older GSP with one of those for at least 4 years and it is an awesome piece of equipment for the U.P. grouse woods.

My youger GSP has an allergic reaction to the nylon so she runs without one.
