Does anyone have any knowledge of the Innotek CS-16000TT collar?
I have an opportunity to purchase a used one, and it seems to have the features I want, but it would be great to hear any testimonials anyone may have to offer.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard. I don't think you will find many people on here that have much good to say about the recent Innotek Collars. you will get more answers I am sure.

I have the 16000 without the beeper feature. I was attracted to it because I can operate my launchers, autobacker and collar with one handheld.
I have had no problems with it.

That's good to hear.
I just put the money down, it looks like a pretty decent collar.
I'll get Maggie out in the field this week and post as to how well it goes.

Seventhson,
Had 1 1600TT and 2 16000TT's in 5 years. Innotek replaced them with the newest version under my extended warranty till the last one puked and the warranty ran out. They seem to work for awhile, then the transmitter just stops speaking to the collar receiver?? I went with the Dogtra 2000 T&B which IMO is far superior quality and easier to use. So easy a cave man could figure it out.

sorry I had to borrow the humor from the shooting shirt thread...
Good luck.

Any Innotek collar is a piece of garbage. Do yourself a favor, get you deposit back, and get a Tritionics.

I have used the same Innotek 160000TT for a number of years and have had zero problems. I run 2 to 3 launchers, 2 collars, and the auto backer off the system. I know it get some real bad press around here but for me it just keeps on working doing everything I need it to do. I looked at other collars a nuber of years back and the Innotek was the only system that did everything I needed it to do from one transmitter.
Good luck

Hi Ted,
Sometimes I feel that way because of all the problems I hear about the Innotek systems on the message boards. But as long as mine keeps working I will keep using it. I do like the Dogtra 2 dog model with the beeper/locators but I wish they had a system that would run the launchers on the same transmitter.
Happy training

I have the 16000TT, I used it for about 2 years w/o problems, then it stopped working as the transmitter and collar would not communicate, Innotek replaced it for shipping and handling ( about $14), customer service was great. Good Luck, sounds like they are hit and miss on reliability with more misses than hits....

I have also had bad luck with innotek collars also but have had good luck with the launchers and the auto backer. The collars are junk.

The 1600TT is a great unit. you just need to be smarter then the collar.
READ your owners manual........
If you have one them junky units I'll buy it from you..

Gee.... why didn't I think of that...
Sorry ! reading the owners manual wasn't going to fix the 3 - 16000TT's that eventually died on me.

Innotech earned the name innojunk

I have a two dog innojunk collar that has repeatedly had a very bad failure, the signal for one collar will jump to the other.
Then what happens next is the dog that misbehaving gets no correction and you keep moveing up the stimulation level until the other dog thats doing nothing wrong yelps in confusion and pain.
Unfortunately there is no way to realize this failure has occured until its too late and the good dog gets hurt.
Its been sent in twice for warranty repair " we never have that happen" BS. This was failure number three.
If there is one thing a multiple dog Ecollar unit should not do its jump to the wrong collar undoing training.
I work in a field where Murphys Law runs rampant and am normally very patient about mechanical (or electronic in this case) failure, but this is a design flaw.
I will never purchase a Innotech collar or product again.

I doubt that they would do a switch with me as my command series has past it's warranty for couple years now, not to mention I have moved on to Dogtra. I actually had 3 whole collar and transmitter units replaced over the course of my 5 year warranty. When that ran out they said we'll sell you another for a reduced price. I said thanks but no thanks.

Love it. I have the 2002 T&B two dog beeper collar unit. Very sturdy and well built. Don't have to be a computer analyst like you do with the Innotek to program it. Actually you never need to program it, just turn it on and walla....
Some don't care for the rheostat on the Dogtra's, and I guess I can see their point with regards to a training specific collar, but once you adapt it's not that big an issue. I think it really shines as a hunting collar, and the battery charge life is ridiculously long, can go almost an entire hunting season without recharging.
