Hi all,

My father has had gun dogs for years and I am looking to buy him a new bitch in the coming months.

I havent bought a dog before (but can assure you the family have had them for years!) and have no idea where to start. We have always had working dogs from the same bloodline - I am currently digging out the pedegree certificates as we speak.

Any help/advice on how I trace these back / what I should look for in a pedegree, what injections should they have etc. would be appreciated.

was the niece of Toyha. daughter of Highcotts Swift (Kennel Club No E259965E6) and Binfield Jody (F2575605H02) does this what we need?

You're really going to need more. Look for names that hold titles of somekind.
