Login on the Homepage!

Post by cravenkennellabs » Sat Oct 27, 2007 8:03 am

I can't login on the homepage! I've been wanting to change up my member webpage, but can't. I don't know if it's my computer blocking system or if you're having technical difficulties. Please help!

The homepage requires a different username and password than the forums. Did you create a different name/password? Are you sure you're using the right login?

I only have one user name and password. And with GDF in my favorites I always log into the home page just by clicking on the title in the favorite list. From there I click on Forum and then on Veiw all postd since my last visit. I then click on one of the topics and when I am finished I just hit the back button on the browser and it goes back to the list of posts. The read envelope changes the subject that I just finished to show it has been read unless someone posts while I was reading it.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

http://www.gundogforum.com

and

http://www.gundogforum.com/forum/

Are two separate sites with regard to logins. You may have the same username/password set for both (that's the default behavior, so I misspoke above), but they are separate. Hence,
Main Site Login Page wrote:This does *not* log you into the forum! This login screen is only for the main GDF site.
To log into the main site, this link takes you where you need to go:
http://www.gundogforum.com/index.php?page=login
This is where you can modify your GDF webpage.

What I'm asking is whether it's possible you signed up twice, with two different names/passwords? If not, then this again sounds like a job for Ye Ol' Site Administrator. :D

I had to look and see what I coded.... Basically, the homepage authenticates against the PHPBB user database. So, its the same username and password. You will, however, need to have an activated phpBB account.

In a perfect world, I would have done SSO I guess....
