trouble with perfect pedigree

Post by Brittguy » Sat Dec 22, 2007 2:27 pm

I created a new pedigree but highlighted dogs do not turn red and checks are still in the box . It is as if I am not finished. What do I do now?

Three steps backward and punt.

Maybe Grant will see this and help you or maybe PM him.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

I was just too anxious. Next time I went in they were red.

Ok, how did you get the pedigree to show up in your sig block? Mine won't work but truthfully, I am computer illiterate.

cut and paste your pedigree links to your signature. That way you can just click on the link in your signature and it will go to the pedigree.[/b]

Grant,

How did you get the pedigrees to show up like they do at the bottom of your posts?

I'm not Grant, but I'll answer for you...

1. Create your pedigree on Perfect Pedigrees.
2. Click the "My Admin" link to take you back to your control page. Out at the end of the line for each pedigree is a "Get HTML" link. Click it.
3. Copy the HTML from the text box on the returned page.
4. Paste that into your signature block back in your GDF profile.
5. Click the Submit button at the bottom of the profile page.
6. Enjoy.

If you have problems, PM me here and we'll work it out.

Best regards, Greg J.

If you want to post a link that has your dog's name in it, and then will take a user to the pedigree, you can use the following code, replacing the parentheses and the text within the parentheses with the information as instructed, and deleting the quotes at the beginning and at the end:

"(replace this text with the name of the dog that you want to display)"

About how long does it take after these changes are made and submitted, before they can be seen?
