Photos in posts, how?

Post by Ruffshooter » Tue Jan 01, 2008 7:15 am

How does one get a photo in their post. It won't work from my album or my computer. I seem to remember something about a personal web site? or is there another way? How large can those photos be once I figure out how to get one on my post?

Thanks,
Rick

You have to have the picture on an online service like Photobucket.

You then put the link to the picture inside IMG tags in the post as follows:

click the Img button above the text box. It's the second from the right. Then paste in the URL of the picture. Then click the Img button again.

If you have problems feel free to e-mail me. If you continue to have problems, we'll get on the phone and get you going.

Best regards, Greg J.

Greg,

Will this work using the Forum photo album?

I fixed it... You just used the wrong URL... it should have been:

Fuess,

That won't work. That URL is to a web page, not a picture.

If it doesn't end in .jpg, or similar, it probably won't work. You can still post it as a link, just not as an image that gets embedded in the post.

help with this

I am too dumb to figure this out. I use the Kodak system for pictures. Can you give me some insight as to how to do this. I tried you instrucions but obviously failed. Then got frustrated and quit.

Thanks for your patience with the "techno challenged"

I did what I could with the Kodak site. I installed their software, uploaded an image and tried to find a way to get the URL for a photo.

After all that, my conclusion is "Can't get there from here". I don't think they want to provide that kind of service.

If you're open to other photo sharing options for this kind of task, we can work it out. But that Kodak site is a no-go.
