2XNGDC/FC BDK'S Shake the Bank

Post by nrcgsp » Tue Feb 26, 2008 3:28 pm

I just read on another forum that we lost a dear friend today, while we did not own her, we watched her, loved on her when around, 2XNFC/FC BDK'S Shake the Bank was laid to rest and is no longer battle the struggles of life with cancer that had taken such a toil on her. Shake was an amazing dog, winning back to back NGDC titles, numerous regional titles and FC title. She was an exceptional athlete, very graceful, snappy, always happy when hunting. She was owned by Mike and Linda Woody, who got Shake from Keith and Robbi Gulledge who had bought her as an 8 wk old puppy (that slept w/Robbi in the trialer!!) She will be greatly missed by many. I do not have any pictures to post in her memory, I am sure Robbi or Linda will have some as they did on the other post. Shake is a very deserving animal of all the memories. May you run free (and chase birds we won't tell anyone!!!  ). I know you are in peace and pain free now! Rest in peace Shake, we will miss you, but won't forget you.

Thanks for posting Nanc. It's about all I can do to type on these and download her sweet pictures for all to see. Shakie was truely a great animal. She was the first dog to win the GSPCA National Gun Dog Championship two years in a row (2000-2001), in 2002 she went 3rd and in 2003 she went runner up. Along with those great National placements Shake was also a Regional Shooting Dog Champion and runner up (a few times on both).

I'll try to find some more pictures, my eithernet card is down on my desktop and my laptop doesn't except floppies so here's what I've got on my laptop. Enjoy.

Rest in Peace our dear Shakie we know your in a much better place over the Rainbow Bridge but it still hurts like heck that you've left me again (and forever this time) we'll NEVER FORGET YOU AND THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS YOU GAVE TO US!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the loss of Shakie, it's never easy when these good dogs pass on.

It's a "curse" that we always out live the good dogs in our lives.

While it always hurts that they are gone, we have been blessed to ahve these remarkable animals and friends in our lives.

Very sorry to hear that, she sounds like an unforgettable dog that gave all she had.
