Too young to go...

Post by mountaindogs » Fri Mar 27, 2009 10:06 am

Yesterday, while working our young pup on our property off the 4-wheeler, tragedy rocked our family. A public Electric company truck was driving through the property. I called the dogs back into me and everybody did as they were asked and came running. Spinner, our young puppy owned by another but loved as much by both his families, came zooming across the only gravel road for miles on our property and the Electric company truck never slowed, I could not actually see the dog (perhaps thank God!) when he dipped down to cross the road, but I saw the truck slam on his brakes, and it was too late. He had sompletely run over Spinner. Words can not express how devastated I am. He was an absolute dream of a dog. Perfect with the childrem, in the house so well mannered, pointing swimming and I could go on and on. He was friendly with everyone he met human or dog, and was just amazing. I cannot quit reliving this tragedy. He was only 6 months old, and way to young to be taken so soon. I have lost some dogs at the end of their lives and it is devastating everytime, but I have never lost a friend so young and just begining their life.

Spinner I am so sorry. Both of your families miss you like crazy!

That hurts so bad. Keep strong and it will get better. The pup is gone but the memories will last forever.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Really hate to hear stuff like this. Lost one not too long ago. It's tough, but time does heal. So sorry.

Sleep well sweet Spinner.
The reason a dog has so many friends, is because he wags his tail instead of his tongue.
