Ken Ruff-Brophy Irish Setters

Post by KwikIrish » Wed Jan 22, 2014 8:44 pm

Today, the Irish community lost a truly significant force in our breed. Ken Ruff passed away today. His family requests donations be made in his memory to the ISCA Foundation. I only saw Ken once a year at our National Field Trial, but he was always kind, and incredibly welcoming. His history and contributions to our breed, especially in the trial scene, will not be forgotten.
Godspeed, sir.

Sad to hear. Certainly has done a lot of tremendous work with the Irish breed. My pups father is a brophy dog.

My condolences to his family & friends... He was truly a remarkable person! I met him a field event many years ago. He took the time to answer all my novice questions & even followed up the next week to make sure I didn't have any more!
