They are trying to take your ammo

Post by birdhunter2424 » Mon Jan 12, 2009 8:42 am

Just as everyone was warned!

PASS this on to anyone you know who likes to Hunt, Shoot ect....

Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it
seems that his minions and allies in the
anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo!

The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana )
requires all ammunition to be encoded
by the manufacture and recorded in a data base of all ammunition sales. So
they will know how much you buy and what
calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the
ammunition is coded.

Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011.
(Including hand loaded ammo.) They will
also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will
go up at least $2.50 or more!

If they can deprive you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

This legislation is currently pending in 18 states: Alabama, Arizona,
California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois,
Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York,
Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South
Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington.

Send to your friends in these states AND fight to dissolve this BILL!!

This is a good site to keep an eye on probably as the new legislative session get started; BUT right now (as I just looked at it) the info is out of date ...
The Indiana legislation was for last year ... and died in or maybe even before committee and never reached the state house floor. Its a good thing too: TV and anti-rights folks would have people think this is realistic that this will 'cut crime' etc; when it is complete non-sense.

I am on another forum (http://www.carryconcealed.net) and have been keeping an eye on Indiana state legislation (to keep that forum updated on issues) this year ... so far all of indiana's law's are 'pro' civil rights (i.e. - for the preservation of the 2nd ammendment) ... thank goodness. I did see in Georgia a measure similar to this proposed this year.

We all need to keep an eye on these types of laws - and make sure our voice is heard by those that represent us. I know this site is primarily about hunting dogs ... but if they take 1 part of the gun rights away ... the rest will start to fall too.

and gpblitz is correct - President (Elect) Obama did vote for and try pass this in Illinois prior to 'graduating' to the US Senate.
