With bookend weekend trials and Region four all in one area you should have a very good draw. I'd bet Gulleges, Brath, and probalby Waresk, will all show and I think I heard Dave King is hitting some trials in the Upper Mid west as well.

You guys are in for a busy week. CR

Nope BDK won't be there (would love to see that country though). Dennis for sure and maybe King (know David & Sarah) in CO. for those trials and the Rocky Mnt. Championship (now).

Best of Luck to all who goes..

Dan,

Is it a sure thing that you are running an AAA at the GSPC of MI AKC trial? If so, who are the judges and what is the entry fee? Retrieving or not?

You'll probably get 3-4 entries from Brath's string.

Thanks,
Dave

There should be a really good turnout for the Lansing GSP Club, in fact, it is booked with braces ... unfortunately, my dog wasn't one of the dogs that were picked. I hate when that happens. Anyways, I wish all competitors the best of luck and maybe I'll see some of the GDFs the following weekend at the GSPC of MI (that's if my dog gets selected).

They ran the allage today and had enough dogs to make a major. The stake was won by:

Hoosier's Rev It Up J R.

Handler was Rich Barber of Outbak kennels. 3 very nice finds and a great race I am told.

Sire: FC/AFC Dunfur's Hoosier LB
Dam: Cajun's Burning Desire

I am a happy camper today. :)

Jerry,
Congrats!! Nice win on Friday.
it was a great weekend, and an awesome place to trial. The grounds were beautiful, and a well run event. Bandit had what I thought was a super solid run with 3 finds in the OGD, but no call back...Have to wait until next time.

I had a great time in Michigan at the Lansing GSPC field trial in Ionia. Met some really nice people, ate well and saw some outstanding dogs on the course.
I’m afraid I’ve let a few people down as far as my ability to perform the role of scribe. I did in fact sit through all of the placements, but was too busy thinking of getting a good night’s sleep after a day of bringing dogs to the line and riding braces.

Just a fun, fun time.

I did stay for the first day of Region 4, helping out with the dog truck in the morning and riding braces in the afternoon.

My hat’s off to the members of the Lansing club for putting on a top-notch event.

Attached is an image of my young bitch on her first find. Photo credits go to Bill L.

Thanks Bill. I had a great time and hope to see you again at many more trials.

Cooper is a very nice dog and I know his pedigree, have not talked to John yet but am anxious to do so. Man what a deal for the dog's out of my back yard. They just keep on piling them up. I think Coop has won the hour before but not sure.

AJ and then Cooper, wonder where Joker was?

Congratulations Bill!

I had the chance to see Bandit at Dennis' winter camp and then at the trials at Freer as well as the Ringneck. That boy will flat find birds and he's not even two years old yet.

Dennis had a pretty good stake in the OGD as my gal Sunny placed second....wanna swap placements? :D

Thanks Ken! Congrats to you too,
Sunny is a great dog. I was actually in Ionia last weekend and rode most of the braces, so I saw all of them run. Of course I picked the wrong weekend to drive up, but that's par for the course. If it's all the same to you, I think I would like to keep Bandit in the spot he finished today. :P
I will be heading up to Portage (Pine Island) next weekend. If you are not planning on comimg up, I will be sure to shoot some pic's of Sunny for you. Thanks again.
