I am looking to get a new collar/collars. I have a sportdog 1200 2 collar system. I would like to get tri tronics, but there is several different models. Tri-Tronics Pro 100 G2 EXP, 70 G2, 90 G2, 500 G2, Upland, Fly away and so on. Which one would be the best for me. (not rich) The 70 or 90 is the price I like but would it be suit me? I am new to field trialing and hunt my dogs. I do want to be competitive in field trialing so I would like the best for my budget.

For a basic G3 is a good collar for hunting dogs same prices as the SD1800
and the classic 70
and the pro 100

Here is the deal Go fro the collar with the continuoous buttons ..if you want momentary depress and release the button if you want or need a continuous stimulation the press and hold button
if you get a monentary only you will not have the continuous if you need it for what ever reason where you can use the continuoous as a monetray

which is what I do

i have the pro 100 and can use it like the 500 cause i do not rely on a toggle switch to apply what i need at the time

it is easy to do

I like the pro 100 for the lower levels of stimulation at the bottom end
but the classic 70 has also been a great collar through out the years

for trialing ...either one the classic 70 or the pro 100 will fit the bill the pro 100 gives you a little more control on some levels once you get used to it
and tri tronic last a long time

I run the SportDOG 2500 and love it. 1 1/2 mile range. 30 levels of stim. And way better priced than any of the TT pro series. JMO

I have used a Tri Tronics collar of some kind for 18 years. I use a field 70 solid built no frills collar.

I would go with a Tri-tronics or a Dogtra. My personal training collar is the TT Pro-100 G2. I like this collar because I can pull any dog out of my trailer and know that this collar will be appropriate for any dog. It has the range from low to high to fit any dog. Now for hunting I have the Dogtra 1200 NC. It has a small transmitter that I can hang around my neck. The Dogtra 1200 NC has now been replaced by the Dogtra 1900 NCP. I would stick with Dogtra or Tri-tronics. If you need any prices I offer a member discount on e-collars. Good luck
