This picture she still has some winter coat. In the winter she almost looks black at a distance. In the summer she is a light blue roan with black points.

Thanks Jake. I love my old boys but Stoney is ranked right up there with him. I should post pictures of his 07 foals and his 08 foals (besides Lucky). This was his last batch of foals as I had him cut before buying him. He's been a fantastic young guy. I purchased him last November, he'd mainly been used as a stallion, was broke and trail ridden some until I got him and made a working horse out of him. Needless to say he's had an awesome attitude (wouldn't of known he'd been a stud for 3 yrs.) and took to the dogs and everything like had been doing it since he hit the ground. He's wonderful and loveably and just a downright pleasure to ride and be around.

Jake he's gorgeous!!!! Is he a Fresian??? Sure looks like it with all those feathers on them legs. I'd love to ride on of those. How many other horses do you have?? Are they all like him or different breeds. He's just to cool. If I had lots of money or hit the lottery would have to go out and by a Gypsy Vanner (have you seen them??) I think their the coolest, don't know what I'd use one for but their neat neat (IMO).
Off to bed, big bike ride tomorrow and leaving early to beat some of this horribly hot weather to be back home early for the A/C!!!! I'll try to get some pictures of our IRON HORSE & us and some of the cool bikes their as well.

I am just wondering where everyone went to buy their horses? I have two trial horses, one foxtrotter and one twh. I go to trials and talked to people and they always directed me somewhere else, so I'm just curious where you all went to get your horses?

Going to have to second that.

DG, Gunner, Jakemaster- BEAUTIFUL horses!! :D (Love the Friesians- I'd love to have one for dressage.)

Great thread, nice to see all these working horses. Out my way, most of the workers are cowhorses :D (And show horses, if you consider it work... I do. )

Anyhow, here's my TB. He was just a pasture ornament this summer, but I worked him in english pleasure and basic dressage last year. Hopefully I'll get back to it when I make it home from college and next summer. He was a "gift horse" because his owner abandoned him at a boarding facility. Worked out great for me; while he has his days, overall he's an amazing horse who's taught me a lot about horsemanship.

Pics... first two were from last summer. Last one was taken right before I came back to school- sorry about the flies and mask-rubbed face but I could find his prettier bridle shot from last summer... I still think he's a handsome guy.

Donnie, Doug & others ~

Man what gorgeous horses. I know I posted a bunch of pictures of my horses earlier on but just took some updated shots of our 2 2 yr. old boys Bo (blue roan) and Red Cent. Plus some of the others had to get shots of them as well. Their ages all range from 2-10 yrs. The buckskin showed is my 10 yr. old MFT "Buck" that has been retired the last 3 yr. due to aquiring ringbone. Enjoy.

Ok, I saw this and had to post. Here is my 4 y/o pinto stud Little Thunder. He is 34" and broke to drive. I dont think I'll be doing feild trial with him any time soon, LOL! He is a big horse in a little body. I used to raise Arabs until a car accident prevented from me riding, so I down sized (literally)

Thanks! Shes actually an OTTB. I know in the one pic she looks rather stocky (thank the Lord as it has been an on going struggle to keep weight and muscle on her) and could be mistaken for a QH but shes pure TB. Ive been trying the last 2 years to get her pregnant with a german warmblood but it hasnt worked out. I will see if I will try one more year. If not we can focus on moving up to 2nd level. :)

If you are talking about the glass eyes being special there are many many horses with them. I have had two and raised several foals with them also. I had a nice little sorrel mare with the wide blaze like yours that was out of my grey Arabian mare and a pretty Palamino stallion. He had them also.
