12 O'Clock Field Trial Club - Wisconsin - 2009

Post by PntrRookie » Tue Jun 17, 2008 4:56 pm

The club has been established to introduce new people to field trialing and open up more grounds for trials. Thanks for the opportunity to share a bit about our club. Some of you may have seen the site for our new club, if so check it out again, it has been redesigned. If you have not seen it yet, check it out.

Check back often...I am working on the 2009 schedule...

Do you know when the fall schedule will be up? I wish I would have seen this before. I'm only about 10 min north of Peshtigo and would have made a point of being there to watch. I hope there will be more up here in the north.

I know they hold at least one, if not two fall trials at the 2C's Hunt Club. I judged one last fall. I believe the schedule must come out in the American Field first, then we will post them. As soon as I know, they will be posted. Even if they are tentative.

Yes. Many members trial in many different venues...walking, horseback (where available), coverdog, etc. The Am. in May is a walking trial.

Yes there are ones in Waterford, Burlington or East Troy. Each are only 10-15 minutes from the grounds.

Where exactly will the trial be held? I am in Chicago, and the end of May might work well for me. I looked for Prestigo on a map and couldn't find it.

Bill,
The Am. trial in May will be held at Dale Creek Gundogs which is located just NW of Burlington, WI. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Honey+Creek&state=WI

Many of the others are held in Pestigo, which is north of Green Bay just south of the MI border. http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Peshtigo&state=WI

Also, I just found out the location of the April 25-26 trial, which is listed as "Magnolia" is west of Janesville, WI...which is just west of I-90, north of Beloit, WI. I heard Peshtigo will not have trials this spring.

http://www.mapquest.com/maps?city=Magnolia&state=WI

I will post more specifics as they come in...watch the Field for it.

Our "Schedule" page has been updated. http://www.12oclockftc.com/schedule.html

Will anyone be at the upcoming Central States US Complete Region CH down in Chandlerville, IL this coming weekend?

Is the reason for moving from 2 C's the addition of the ponds or other reasons?

I do not believe that was the reason. From what I read in the letter from the WBHA, I believe it was due to the cover. The letter also stated that they look forward to returning there in the fall.

The http://www.12oclockftc.com/ is hosting an American Field, field trial this weekend (April 25-26, 2009) at the Magnolia Game Farm(http://www.magnoliagamefarm.com/) near Evansville/Janesville, WI. This field trial will feature pointing dogs from WI and some from IL. There will be Puppy, Derby (less that 2 yrs old) and Shooting Dogs (broke dogs) braced throughout the day competing for placements each day.

If you can come out, it begins at 7:30 and runs through the entire day. Lunch can be purchased there at the club. The gallery can either walk or ride (your own horse or wheeler) any or all of the braces. If you have ever wondered how these work...come on out and follow some braces. Contact me for more info! There is a running order on the 12 O'Clock website and directions on the Magnolia website.

Wow what a WET weekend...trial kept going and was a success. Here is a link to the results http://www.12oclockftc.com/magnoliaspring2009.html Thanks to all who helped and especially the judges - Larry Langdon from IL and Tim Mader from WI. There is an Amateur trial coming up the weekend of May 16 and 17. It will be held at Dale Creek Gundogs. Again, if you ever wanted to see what an American Field walking trial is all about, come on out...better yet, enter your dog! Let me know if you have ANY type of questions...

Thanks to Tom for handling my Deuce to her first AF placement! 1st in Saturday's Open Derby
