Safe Guard sheep/goat wormer

Post by dudleysmith » Tue Feb 16, 2010 7:11 pm

What is the dosage for dogs of Safeguard (fenbendazole) for sheep/goats?? I was thinking it is 4cc per 20 lb but that may be too much

dudleysmith -

Fenbendazole is efective at 23 mg per # of dog weight according to what all I have read, so that is approximately 1 ml of the goat/sheep wormer per 4 # of dog weight

Goat/sheep fenbendazole is 100 mg/ml.

Several sources say 1 ml per 5 # of dog weight which would be 20 mg of fenbendazole per # of dog body weight. Apparently some round up and some round down.
