Here is photo of my 2 year old female I took yesterday. I thought she did a real nice job and found a few birds.

Thanks. She has really turned into a nice dog and is out of Snowatch and a Laws High Noon female, and is a full brother to Lester's Bodacious and Lesters Jacked Up. I am not a field trialer, just a wild bird hunter. I am planning on raising a litter of pups out of her as soon as she come in heat.

I used to live in MO/KS in the mid-late 90s. How are the Quail in MO? I used to hunt up by King City. Used to see 4-5 coveys a day and good phez numbers. I had heard they had declined quite a bit, how were they this year?

The quail population in Missouri is down quite a bit. I hunted 18 times last season and probably the most coveys I pushed in a day was three. I (Bess) did find birds everytime, except opening day, but the coveys were pretty small. We had record snow here in February and I am very concerned about how that might have affected what birds we have. Some reports since have been good and some bad. A good dry spring will help as we have had three very wet ones!!
As far as a sire, one has been selectedand will be named upon breeding. I get to keep the pick female, two will go to the owner of the sire and the rest will be sold. If your in the market for a pup let me know !!! This will be my first attempt to raise pups and I live in town so I will have to sell them quickly. Some of these dogs will be field trial stuff and the others will go to hunters like me. If they are like Bess, they will certainly find you a ton of birds.

I love that ear!

I'm partial to the liver dogs myself, but she's a looker, and that ear...
I have English Pointers because they don't ever grow up either...

Crappie that dog looks sort of familiar. Mine is Fiddler and Miller on top and bottom but wow they look identical almost. So I must say she is gorgeous.

Tommyboy,
Wow they do look very similar. Your dog looks VERY nice!! I just wish we had more birds up here. Mine will get plenty of tame birds, but I would really like to take out of state somewhere where I knew I would get her into a bunch of wild birds.

Hey Crappie,

Rooster's Mom here. That dog looks hauntingly familiar....

I believe she was at our Fun Trial in Macon this past fall.

Great picture of Bess!

p.s. Rooster got the first leg of his MH last weekend in Kansas City... headed to Jeff City for a women's hunt Saturday and then another HT on Sunday in Cameron.

Hey Roostersmom and Birddog 1969,
Rooster is getting some good exposure and is a nice birddog!! I still have a shirt to return to you sometime !! Bess is coming along very nicely.

Birddog1968,
Your dog looks awesome. Nothing better in my opinion than a "white dog". I am pretty partial to Snowatch as he is a real birddog. Yours looks just like him. Thanks for sharing your photo.
